If you've ever sailed with Disney Cruise Line, congratulations — you're already a member of the Castaway Club, whether you knew it or not. It's Disney's free loyalty program for past passengers, and it quietly rewards you with perks that make every future sailing a little smoother and a little more magical. Oh and did.I mention that as a Castaway Club member you also get goodies in your stateroom on Embarkation day.
You're auto-enrolled — no signup required
The moment you complete your first Disney cruise, you're in. There are no points to track, no annual fees, and no spending thresholds. Your tier is based purely on how many Disney cruises you've completed. The best part? A 3-night Bahamas getaway and a 14-night transatlantic each count as one sailing, so frequent short-cruisers can climb the ranks just as quickly as the long-haulers.
The four tiers
Disney's program has four levels, each unlocking a few more perks than the last. The three big windows that improve at every tier are: new itinerary booking (how early you can book a brand-new cruise), onboard activity booking (how far in advance you can reserve things like Palo, spa treatments, port adventures, and character experiences), and online check-in (when you can lock in your port arrival time, which affects boarding order).
Silver
Earned after your 1st cruise. Book new itineraries 1 day before the general public, onboard activities 90 days before sailing, and complete online check-in 33 days out. You'll also get a welcome-aboard gift in your stateroom.- at the time of writing these are a back pack
Gold
Earned after 5 cruises. Book new itineraries 2 days early, onboard activities 105 days out, and online check-in opens 35 days before sailing. You also get access to an exclusive cruise terminal (where available) and a private onboard reception(on longer sailings) Where you will get as your stateroom gift the back pack and the wet dry bag.
Platinum
Earned after 10 cruises. Book itineraries 3 days early, onboard activities 120 days out, and online check-in 38 days before sailing — plus priority terminal check-in and the crown jewel for foodies, a complimentary dinner at Palo, Disney's adults-only Italian restaurant. Goodies wise you get the SIlver and gold gifts along with a nice stainless water bottle.

Pearl
Earned after 25 cruises. Added in 2023 for Disney's 25th anniversary. Pearl members get the earliest booking access (4 days ahead), onboard activity reservations 123 days out, online check-in 40 days before sailing, and a complimentary unlimited digital photo package — easily worth hundreds of dollars on its own. and of course goodies wise you get the slver/gold and platinum goodies as well as a comfy pillow/blanket
The in room gifts are one per stateroom. However each castaway club member will received a nice lanyard to keep their key to the world card safe in( sadly 1st time cruises do not receive anything). The Lanyard colour is different depending on which level you are (picture shows the new gold and silver lanyard)
Why those windows matter
A "1 day head start" sounds small, but on Disney ships it's a genuine advantage. Hot itineraries — maiden voyages, holiday sailings, new destinations — and popular onboard experiences like Palo reservations and character meet-and-greets sell out fast. The activity booking window is arguably even more valuable: getting in 30+ days ahead of first-time cruisers means you'll actually score the dinner reservations and excursions everyone else is fighting over. And earlier online check-in means earlier port arrival times, which means earlier boarding — and more time to enjoy the ship on day one.
A few good-to-knows
Status doesn't expire as long as you book or sail another Disney cruise within 5 years. If you share a stateroom with members of different tiers, the room receives perks based on the highest status onboard. And for the truly devoted or totally addicted Disney cruiser who have sailed 50+ times, Disney may add your family name on the fence near where the ships dock at Castaway Cay (one of Disney's Private Island locations on the Bahamas) , which is my ultimate goal - oh Mr Disney !!
Disclaimer At the time of writing all the information is correct however stateroom gifts may vary depending on sailing and stock levels that they have on the ship.
