Nordic Crowns Tavern is the new quick service restaurant located in World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris. It opened at the end of March 2026. During our recent trip, we stopped in for a bit of tea. When we saw on the menu they had meatballs we were like that sounds good, a nice change, so we went in and ordered.
This is our review.
What's on the menu
The Nordic Crowns Tavern runs as a set menu of a main, a side, a dessert and a cold drink, at €22 for the meatball option. Mains are a salmon fillet with mustard and dill sauce, turkey meatballs with dried cranberry sauce, or plant-based meatballs in onion and mushroom sauce, each with a choice of crushed potatoes and vegetables or quinoa and vegetables. I went for the turkey meatballs with the crushed potato.
The main
The carrot, part of the vegetable mix, was the first surprise, and not a good one: it didn't taste like a carrot, and it was a bit slimy. The crushed potato was the real let-down, unbelievably lumpy, mash with lumps in it, and I'll be honest, I make better at home. The turkey meatballs came out best of the three, a little bacony and not bad, though not quite IKEA standard.
Dessert
For pudding the choice is between the Arendelle Swirl, the Everlasting Snowflake, or a vegan almond Magnum. I chose the Everlasting Snowflake, a shortbread with white chocolate cream and a red fruit centre, and it was better than the main, though part of me wondered if I'd drawn the short straw. Mr Disney had the blue tutti-frutti Arendelle Swirl, which I tried: bubblegummy and a touch fizzy, more novelty than ice cream.
The clever bit: the edible bowl
The best part wasn't the food, it was the serving. The blue ice cream comes in an edible bowl, the tulip wafer, so instead of a dish going in the wash you simply eat it. A genuinely smart, waste-saving touch.
Closing thoughts
When we saw the Nordic Tavern's menu we were quite excited to eat here, as it was something different to the usual burger, hot dog and pizza offerings you find elsewhere in the park, unless you go for one of the sit-down options. Price wise, yes it is a bit high, but everything seems to have got that little bit more expensive over time. Food wise, we were both quite disappointed. For us the food just looked and tasted like an old-style school dinner. The serving dish was a plain coloured plastic bowl, no branding, nothing, and the food, well, our review speaks for itself. Is this one place we will return to? Honestly, I'm not sure. Our video review can be found here.
